Lil' Angels Photography

Meet the Owners

The Lil' Angels leadership team includes Charles Glass, Dan Wilmoth, and Jim Palmer.

Charles Glass
Entrepreneur Charles Glass founded Lil' Angels Photography in 1996 in partnership with Jim Palmer and Dan Wilmoth.

A native of Missouri, Charles left the "Show Me" state to attend college at Arkansas State University. Upon graduating in 1961, he served in the U.S. Army for two years. Then, Charles married his lovely bride and partnered with his father in an auto salvage business. In 1963, he launched a new career in insurance, moving his way up the ladder to become Aetna Life and Casualty District Manager. After more than a decade of working for an insurance company, Charles became a freelance agent - a profession he enjoyed for 18 years before starting his new career as a photographer.

Charles first entered the field of professional photography in 1993 when he and his wife, Linda, opened Glass Photography.

Charles knows what it takes to launch and grow a successful business. Through Lil' Angels Photography, he helps equip others to do the same.

Jim Palmer
Co-founder of Lil' Angels Photography and partner in the Company, Jim Palmer has been a professional photographer for 34 years. "After more than three decades of shooting, I haven't found anything more rewarding financially or more fulfilling than photographing the next generation of young people." He shares his passion and expertise with Lil' Angels franchise owners.

Jim started in 1971 shooting weddings as a means of supplementing his meager teaching salary. By 1980, Jim's part-time photography business brought in more than twice the income of teaching. Not surprisingly, Jim left the teaching profession to devote himself to photography full time. In the early 1980s, he opened a studio and grew his business shooting weddings, industrial jobs, and portraits including picture days at public schools.

Somewhere along the way, Jim booked several picture days at childcare centers and discovered that this market was quite good. By doing quality work, one childcare center soon lead to another... and another... and another until he found himself fully devoted to the childcare market with more centers than he could handle. Since serving this market meant shooting on location rather than in a studio, there was no longer a need for storefront property. Jim closed his studio and set up the ideal headquarters – an office in his home.

By remaining open-minded to the possibilities and responding with sound business decisions, Jim turned trial and error into a successful strategy - a strategy he shares with Lil' Angels franchise owners.

Dan Wilmoth
With almost four decades of experience in the photography business, Dan Wilmoth is a founding partner of Lil' Angels.

Dan began working in the photo processing lab business in 1967. From mid-1990 to mid-1992, he served as vice president of Diversified Photographic Industries, Inc., a Memphis-based photo-finishing company. In April 1992, the experienced industry veteran became the sole owner and operator of United Color Lab in Memphis. The Lab processes images for many photographers, including Lil' Angels franchise owners.

Dan combines his extensive work experience with his management and marketing education from Baylor University to provide effective leadership for the Lil' Angels team.
